Yellow nails: how to take care of them?
Unattractive, yellowing of the nails can be caused by many factors. And while some of them turn out to be benign, others will require more extensive care to restore the natural color of your nails. Our Maryton supply list tips to take care of your yellow nails and find pretty hands.
Yellow nails: why do they change color?
The nails can turn yellow for different reasons. Failure to comply with basic hygiene rules can thus lead to the deterioration of your nails, and lead to unpleasant mycosis. Smoking can also explain the phenomenon of yellowing. Finally, it can be linked to taking certain medications. If the yellowing of your nails is accompanied by other symptoms, you will need to contact your doctor to identify the cause precisely.
First, make sure you follow a few simple, but basic, hygiene rules. Wash your hands regularly, and dry them carefully: humidity promotes the appearance of fungal infections. Also remember to clean your manicure equipment with a disinfectant product after each use. This way you will avoid the spread of bacteria.
The active ingredients of tea tree and lemon have already proven themselves: don’t hesitate to use them in the form of essential oils to treat your damaged nails. Alcohol vinegar and baking soda can also be effective: mix them with hot water to prepare a good foot and/or hand bath. You can also add a few drops of essential oils to the mixture to boost its restorative action.
Finally, remember to entrust your nails to real professionals to avoid unpleasant surprises. The application of poor quality products, as well as gestures not suited to the fragile nature of the nail can alter its color, but also its solidity. Excessive or badly done filing, badly done gel application can do damage!
